But why 42?

When I was younger, a long time ago, I wasn't in IT or coding at all. I did several odd jobs: restaurant server, general employee, farm worker, pizzeria employee, etc.

One day, a certain Xavier Niel launched School 42, a free higher education school open to everyone. Entry required logic tests. I took the initial tests to understand the selection process — and it convinced me. Out of thousands of candidates, I was among those selected.

I would have needed to move to Paris. The first year was still too uncertain organizationally, so I stopped and did not attend. I had found my path anyway: I enrolled in a local school to learn web development, and things took off from there.

Since that day, I've been Mathieu42. 42
